Seniormanagers, key business personnel and technical personnel ofstate-owned and non-public enterprises, including privateenterprises, Sino-foreign joint ventures, wholly foreign-ownedenterprises and enterprises in Taiwan, Hong Kong and Macao, whofrequently travel to APEC economies for business activities and areregistered, may apply for the APEC Card.

需要经常前往APEC经济体从事商务活动，并登记注册的国有企业和非公有制企业，包括私营企业、中外合资、外商独资和台港澳企业的高层管理人员、主要商务人员及技术人员，均可申办APEC卡。

Atpresent, all 21 economies of APEC have joined the travel cardprogram. Among them, the United States and Canada are transitionalmembers and do not accept APEC business travel card applications fromother economies for the time being. However, APEC special channelsare set up at major ports where cardholders can enjoy the convenienceof advance visa booking and customs clearance. The mainland, HongKong and Taiwan do not apply to each other, so Chinese cardholderswith valid cards can enter up to 16 economies, namely Japan, SouthKorea, Malaysia, Indonesia, Brunei, the Philippines, Singapore,Mexico, Thailand, Vietnam, Australia, New Zealand, Papua New Guinea,Chile, Peru and Russia. One application is valid for five years, andthe applicant can stay for at least 60 days at each entry.

Inprinciple, the APEC Business Travel Card is only applicable tointernational travel for business purposes. It cannot be used fornon-business purposes such as tourism, visiting relatives, friendsand medical treatment. Currently Australia, Thailand, South Korea andPapua New Guinea allow non-business travel.

APEC商务旅行卡原则上只适用于以商务活动为目的的国际旅行，不能用于旅游、探亲、访友、看病等非商务目的的活动。目前澳大利亚、泰国、韩国、巴布亚新几内亚允许非商务目的旅行。

Afterthe cardholder leaves the original unit or his/her identity changes,the original unit shall cancel the travel card in time. Or, if theoriginal unit reaches an agreement with the new unit, the travel cardcan be handed over to the new unit and reported to the local foreignaffairs office for the record.

持卡人离开原单位或身份发生变化后，原单位应及时将旅行卡注销。或者，如原单位与新单位达成协议，可将旅行卡移交到新单位，并向当地外办报告备案。

Whatshould I do if I urgently need to travel to a certain economy aftersubmitting an APEC Business Travel Card application?

提交APEC商务旅行卡申请后如急需前往某一经济体该如何办理？

Ifthe economy to which the applicant intends to travel has approved theapplicant's travel card application, the foreign Affairs Office canapply to the Department of Consular Affairs of the Ministry ofForeign Affairs for business card printing in advance. After theapproval of other economies, the applicant can apply for a new card,but the business card printing fee needs to be paid again. If theeconomy you intend to visit is not approved, you can apply for a visaat the Embassy or consulate in China and travel to the economy afterobtaining the visa.

如申请人拟前往的经济体已批准申请人的旅行卡申请，可由受理外办向外交部领事司申请提前制卡，待其余经济体审批通过后可申请换卡，但需再次支付制卡费用。如拟前往的经济体未获批，可前往驻华使领馆申办签证，获签后前往该经济体。
