China is not engaged in a space race with any country, China just implements the plan step by step according to its own schedule. Any of China's projects is not challenging any other countries or had any intention of competing with other nations. If the US thinks otherwise and is seeking for an enemy to compete with then go ahead and challenge Chinese projects, China is not going to respond but proceeds according to their plans.

China's Tiangong SPACE STATION is the most advanced Space Station in the World, leaving Russia's 20 year old International Space Station with old technologies and a gas guzzler trying to keep it in orbit (Tiangong is Solar Powered to maintain its orbit). But it's great seeing that China's Longgong-1 DEEP SEA STATION is now getting the recognition it deserves. Longgong-1 DSS is 2,000 metres under water (NB! Every 100 metres under water increases pressure to 10 atm … atmospheric pressures, hence 2,000 metres under water would be 200 atm’s , or 200 times heavy than above water. So an 80kg Male would weight 800,000kg at 2,000 metres under water). For this reason, 99% under the Ocean have NOT been explored by Human Beings. Also, Sunlight only reaches 150metres under water, so at 2,000 metres they can only see through radar.

Space travel looks very complicated even with today most advanced technology. How was it possible for USA to land people on the moon and return them back to earth with technology 60 years ago? Even with China ability to build a space station, land a rover on the far side of the moon and land a rover on Mars,

it said it can only send a man to the moon in 2030. Apollo 11 astronauts landed on the moon in 1969 but the International Space Station was launched in 1998. How NASA astronauts cope with living in space without prior experience in a space station? Building a space station is easier than landing man on the moon but NASA could only build one 30 years after claiming to land man on the moon. In less than 3 mins, I head the word "challenging" twice. It is really interesting or confusing to me, why China can't develop our own Space program? Why when China decided to develop our own Space station, it is "challenging". The reason China had to develop our own space station is because, US said NO to China. Almost all the astronauts from other countries can go to the internal space station, BUT not Chinese. Everyone on earth can eat rice, Chinese can't, it is challenging. Wrong tambnail. The ISS isn't a NASA project, it's an international project. For example, the Russian (Roscosmos) segment can be an independent space station on its own, without any other modules. But other modules can't function properly without the Russian segment.

China's development of science and technology and space is not at all about competing with the United States.
