银河系中心超大质量黑洞首次“露面”

位于银河系中心的超大质量黑洞图像已被捕捉到，让大众第一次看到了银河系中心的“温和巨人”。这个黑洞被称为人马座A*，因为没有光或物质能够逃脱出其引力的控制，它本身无法被看到。但它的影子被一个发光、模糊的环勾勒出来，这个环由光和物质组成，正以接近光速的速度在黑洞边缘旋转。

An image of the supermassive black hole at the heart of the Milky Way has been captured, giving the first direct glimpse of the “gentle giant” at the centre of our galaxy. The black hole itself, known as Sagittarius A *, cannot be seen because no light or matter can escape its gravitational grip. But its shadow is traced out by a glowing, fuzzy ring of light and matter that is swirling on the precipice at close to the speed of light.
