为实现简约办赛目标，主新闻中心（MPC）和国际广播中心（IBC）两大功能合二为一，总建筑面积约44000 。主新闻中心主要包含媒体工作间、新闻发布厅、媒体采访间等区域。为媒体记者提供赛事报道所需的办公、语言、交通、餐饮、技术、商业配套等各类设施与服务。
