Chinese actor Xin Baiqing announced on Wednesday the passing of his wife Zhu Yuanyuan, a celebrated actress in China. According to the obituary, "Yuanyuan left us forever at 11:39 am on May 17, 2025. Throughout her nearly five year battle with cancer, she confronted challenges without pessimism, maintaining steadfast resolve and self-assurance."

Xin said arrangements for a private funeral are in the works, respecting Zhu's final wishes and emphasizing simplicity in accordance with her preference.
朱媛媛，1974年3月18日出生于山东省青岛市，中国内地女演员，中国国家话剧院一级演员，1997年毕业于中央戏剧学院表演系本科班。代表作品有《贫嘴张大民的幸福生活》《家有九凤》《送你一朵小红花》《我的姐姐》《小别离》。曾获得26届中国电影金鸡奖最佳女主角奖，第34届中国电影金鸡奖最佳女配角奖和第36届大众电影百花奖最佳女配角奖。
