一、 章节分析(reading section )
(一)综述
本章节内容:婚礼。这是和日常生活密切相关的话题。几乎所有学生参加过婚礼,老师可以激发他们讲出所见所闻,并能谈谈各种时尚和浪漫的婚礼。本课的任务有两个:
1 学生通过对课文的学习。掌握一些核心词汇,例如:consult,contact,costly,specialize,banquet等。
2 通过学习课文,了解各种时新,浪漫,有意义的婚礼,锻炼用英语思考,论述的能力。并感悟幸福生活,树立正确的人生观。
(二)阅读目标
1 知识目标
a. 通过阅读进一步了解完美婚礼筹备的整个过程。同时,了解一些广告和买品牌的好去处。
b. 复习定语从句。
2 能力目标
a. 了解本文的目的。
b. 用学过的语法知识和词汇,根据课文内容归纳定语从句,进而发挥想象用定语从句造句。
c. 用英语思考,论述。
3 人文目标
感悟幸福生活,树立正确的人生观。
(三)教学方法
采用任务型教学法组织教学,通过听说,讨论等具体活动,达到教学效果。

pre-reading  要学好本课,建议老师在这个阶段完成以下两个任务:
 让学生讨论然后描述图片上的故事。人们会去哪里举行婚礼,喜欢什么样的婚礼。
 布置学生课外去收集有关本课主题的资料,讲讲各种新奇和不同寻常的婚礼。还可以了解世界各地的婚礼风俗,为进入课文学习作好铺垫。

while-reading  这是本课的重点部分.要求学生了解策划完美婚礼的整个过程,需要做哪些事情。
 通过picture (课本p41)和skimming (同上)了解策划完美婚礼的步骤。
 scanning 部分要求找公司名称,公司电话,公司经营的主题使学生熟悉课文。这部分建议学生通过找段落,找细节(具体内容)来完成。
 问学生,小方框里是什么内容?本文的用意是什么?
  通过引导,如每个方框内有wedding一字,让学生知道是六个与婚礼用品及服务的广告,其目的无非为了吸引顾客,从而赚钱。

step one
 students’ picture talk.
 ask students to speak out some other forms of wedding they know from newspapers or tv  and in what places can people get married.
step two
 skimming
  skim the text and do ex a1 and a2, at the same time learn about the new words in this section.
  questions for the students to consider and answer
1. what are the six short pieces of writing in the boxes?
2. what is the purpose of each one?
3. which word can you find in each one?
4. what are the writer’s aims in this passage?
5. how does the writer try to make the topic more interesting?
6. can you find any connections between the main passage and the other pieces of writing?

 scanning
scan all the texts quickly and find the information needed to complete the table.课本p40.
教师在进行这一部分练习时,不仅锻炼学生查找信息的速度,而且能培养其生活能力。通过这个练习还使学生知道课文与广告之间的联系。
it is shown that there are links between the passage and the ads. the writer is helping to support the advertisers by suggesting that you need their services if you want to have a perfect wedding. thus we could say that the passage itself is also a piece of advertising.
